ARM Science Team Meetings
Poster sessions were key components of the ARM Science Team Meetings through the years. Former ARM Chief Scientist Tom Ackerman (center, dark pants) spent many hours participating in these sessions.
Held annually from 1991 to 2009, ARM Science Team Meetings were the source of many ARM initiatives and expansions to the scope and nature of the ARM mission. Meetings officially began on Tuesday with a plenary session, followed by a full schedule through Thursday of formal presentations by invited speakers, working group and special focus meetings, and poster sessions to review and discuss results emerging from cloud and radiation measurement and modeling research.
On October 1, 2009, the beginning of fiscal year 2010, the ARM science program merged with the Atmospheric Science Program (ASP). Meetings are now organized as the Atmospheric System Research (ASR) Science Team Meetings.
