About the Atmospheric Visualization Collection:
The goal of this project is to develop a digital library collection based on the visualization of atmospheric data. Specifically the Atmospheric Visualization Collection focuses on data from the Atmospheric Radiation Measurement (ARM) programs Southern Great Plains (SGP), North Slope of Alaska (NSA), and Tropic West Pacific (TWP) sites. Since the SGP site is the largest collection of ground-based remote-sensing atmospheric instruments in the world, we expect improving the accessibility to this data will have significant impact on the research and educational community.
This work is funded by NSF's National Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Education (STEME) Digital Library (NSDL) program and the Atmospheric Radiation Measurement (ARM) program.
